Udaipur Trip with College Friends: A Journey to Remember
2023, embarking on a three-day trip from Gandhinagar to Udaipur by train. Here’s a glimpse into our journey filled with laughter, exploration, and camaraderie.
The Train Journey: Laughter and Bonding
The excitement of our first trip together started as soon as we boarded the train. With the rhythmic sound of the rails beneath us and the anticipation of the adventure ahead, we settled into our seats. Conversations flowed effortlessly, punctuated by bursts of laughter. We shared snacks, played card games, and indulged in friendly banter that kept the atmosphere lively. One of the highlights was when we started sharing stories from college, each tale more exaggerated than the last. I was vlogging the entire time, capturing the unfiltered joy and the unique dynamics of our group. The train ride was more than just a means of transport; it was the perfect prelude to the days that awaited us.
Arrival and First Glimpse of Udaipur
When we arrived in Udaipur, the city greeted us with its stunning architecture and a sense of timeless beauty. We wasted no time and decided to head straight to one of Udaipur’s main attractions, Fatehsagar Lake. The journey there was a memory in itself—imagine seven boys cramming into an auto-rickshaw, laughing and joking while trying not to topple over as the auto navigated through the busy streets. I kept the camera rolling, documenting our exaggerated reactions and playful jabs at how “comfortable” we were.
At Fatehsagar Lake, the view took our breath away. The sky was painted in hues of orange and blue as the sun dipped below the horizon, casting its reflection over the serene waters. We sat by the lakeside, sharing a quiet moment while appreciating the beauty around us. It was a perfect end to our first day—a blend of chaos and tranquility.
Day Two: Exploring Udaipur’s Heritage
The next morning, we were up and ready to dive deeper into the city’s rich history. Our destination was the City Palace, an architectural marvel that stood as a testament to Udaipur’s royal past. Walking through the palace, we marveled at the intricate details of the courtyards, balconies, and rooms adorned with mirrors, frescoes, and marble. Each corner had a story to tell, and we listened intently to our guide as he recounted tales of the kings and their grandeur. After soaking in the history and snapping countless photos, hunger led us to one of Udaipur’s iconic eateries—the famous parathe wala. The aroma of freshly made parathas was irresistible, and we devoured them with relish, discussing the day’s highlights and planning our next adventure.
